Obosheshe
প্রতিদিনের ব্যাস্ততার ফাঁকে গজিয়ে ওঠা মনের কোনের নীরব স্বপ্নগুলোকে খাঁচায় পুরে রেখে ঘুমের দেশে পাড়ি দেওয়ার পরেই শুরু হয় অন্তহীন স্বপ্নের সমুদ্রে অনন্ত ভেসে যাওয়া। আর যখন কানপুর, কোন্নগর, ব্যারাকপুর, হাওড়া, মেদিনীপুর, বেহালা এবং শ্রীরামপুরের সাতটি অবাধ্য ইচ্ছে একসুরে বেজে ওঠে? তখন গীটারের ছটি তারের অনুরণনের ঝঙ্কারে “অবশেষে” ডানা মেলে দেয়। আমাদের “অবশেষে” শেষের শুরু নয়, বরং শুরুর শেষে সুরের দেশে অবিরাম পথচলা।
Burying the silent longings under daily burden when the mind goes to sleep, the endless possibility of dreamland wakes up. What if 7 such incorrigible desires from Kanpur, Konnagar, Barrackpore, Howrah, Medinipur, Behala and Serampore start singing in the same tune? Along with the harmony of 6 strings of a guitar, at last (Obosheshe) the wings are spread. Obosheshe is not the beginning of the end, rather at the end of the beginning embarking on an endless journey in the land of music.
With Debasis leading the vocal department, we have RituRaj and Arani on guitars, rhythm sections in the able hands of Santanu (Bass) and Rajib Maitra (drums), Chanchal, the multi-instrumentalist on piano and Nilanjan – our resident poet/lyricist – we, Obosheshe are in a constant endeavor to tell stories through our poetry and music seeped in a heady psychedelic concoction of folk, rock, baul and blues.
