The passion of music and a relentless enthusiasm to perform in front of audiences have initiated the inception of Mohona during the auspicious Durga Puja back in 2023. The abundance of youth talent supported by music loving adults have formed the basis of this band. During this journey, Mohona has not only evolved as a band that performs and grows its fanbase organically but also has diversified in multiple genres of music like Rock, Ballads, Country, Folk, Classical, Jazz, Hip hop, Indie Pop, Reggae and so on. Mohona believes in the philosophy of doing any type of music for all genres of songs in multiple languages which are popular and the singers are willing to perform rather than restricting it to a certain type.

The goal of Mohona is to keep on diversifying, win hearts of the audience, provide quality music and moreover making their own originals which are in the making and will be released soon.

Mohona appreciates talented musicians and does not consider age as a deciding factor to be part of this band. Both the past and present members of Mohona have been enjoying freedom of thought and freedom of expression, and it is a pledge that would never change in this band.

As streams big or small merge into the sea and form the estuary (Mohona), Adults and Youngs working together in the endless sea of music is what Mohona’s core principles and values are.
